Bridging course: “Changing the Medium of Instruction from Mother-tongue to English”

We have placed special emphasis on solving the problems arising from the change of teaching medium from the mother tongue to English. We have adopted a number of measures, especially for the Chinese students, to enable them to adapt to the new teaching medium.

  • Organize English camps and advanced English intensive courses during long holidays
  • Fully promote the English extensive reading scheme
  • Commence English cross-subjects project works
  • Commence English tutorial classes for different subjects so as to enable students to grasp the terminology and
  • basic meaning of the wordings of the related subjects
  • Strengthen the training on the question analysis and answering technique in the examination
