Co-Curricular Activities

Learning is not only confined to the academic curriculum at the school premises;
Activity-based curriculum also provides ample learning experience.

Full Participation of Co-Curricular Activities by All Students
All students have to join at least one co-curricular activity per year, except S5 and S7 students

  • Participation in Uniform Group as a Core Curriculum for S1 Students

    Participation in uniform group serves as an ideal means for realizing the social skills education.  It helps to develop students?awareness in rule compliance, self-governance, teamwork and willingness in joining the social service.  In addition, it also helps to nurture students?leadership skills.  Hence, all S1 students are required to join one uniform group.  Uniform groups consist of Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Red Cross, Hong Kong Adventure Corps and Road Safety Patrol Unit.

  • Performance in Co-Curricular Activities Constituting Part of the Learning Assessment

    Student performance in co-curricular activities forms part of the learning assessment.  Assessment items include both the attendance rate and the participatory attitudes.  Student performance will be included as part of the component for the final grade of the conduct.

     
  • Time for Co-Curricular Activities: Tuesday and Thursday

    Tuesday and Thursday after school (4:00-5:30pm) has been assigned to be the time for co-curricular activities.

     


Whole-school Approach to Promote Co-Curricular Activities Outside School Premises with the Provision of Life-Wide Learning Activities Day

With an aim of encouraging students to participate in various external competitions, the school has assigned several ‘Life-Wide Learning Activity Day?in which visits, field-trips, outings will be arranged.  In addition, the school will also make use of the long holidays for exchange programmes outside the territory so as to widen students? horizon.
