Delia (Hip Wo) Alumni
Association 40th Anniversary Culture-Interflow Foundation
Charter
Origin: Quality education of the 21st
century encourages students to step out of the school campus to enlarge their
vision, and to care for the major issues of the community, of the nation and
even those of the world. In so doing they will be cultivated to become good
citizens of global visions who are active, positive and responsible. It has
always been the mission of Delia (Hip Wo) School to establish a campus of multi-cultures
and harmonious integrated education. However, many of our students are new
immigrants from China or south Asia, the financial situation of whose families
is not quite on the balance. Therefore apart from providing their children with
the basic necessities of daily life, it is usually impossible for parents to
spare expenses on their children’s after-class activities, not to mention
supporting them for culture-interflow activities overseas. The unfavourable
situation will be an obstacle to students’ development.
The Association has long been
taking heed of the development of the school. We take even greater heed of the
learning condition of the students currently attending the school. On learning
their problem, the executive committee initiated the establishment of a
foundation to sponsor the current students of the school to take part in
culture-interflow activities on October 18,2004. The members made some
discussion on the issue and finally resolved on the establishment of the foundation.
